CELTA is the most internationally recognised qualification to start or further your English language teaching career. Moderated and accredited by Cambridge Assessment English (UK), the University of Chester runs the CELTA three times a year.
Suitable for those with English as their first language or those with  IELTS 7.5 overall with no less than 7.0.
We offer a range of Part-time courses between 5 – 12 weeks long.
Courses consist of approximately 120 contact hours consisting of input, teaching practice and tutorials; and approximately 80 hours of independent study consisting of research, lesson planning, assignment writing.

In order to be accepted onto the course, the Cambridge English (the awarding body) regulations must be followed which consist of successful completion of a pre-interview language task and interview.
Following a successful interview, you will be offered a place on the course.
