'Sisters Seagulls and Send offs' - a Death, Dying and Bereavement conversation starter event with Haylo Theatre
Open to all students and staff, as well as public and health care professionals.
An event hosted by Haylo Theatre with a performance of their latest show ‘Sisters, Seagulls and Send offs’.
With stalls from local charities and support groups, including Bereavement services team Cheshire, Macmillan cancer support and Elsie Ever After. The performance will be followed by music from the SWAGG Choir (Support for Working Age Guys and Girls Affected by Cancer Choir).
About the performance:
'Sisters Seagulls and Send offs' is about life, it’s about death, it’s about options and choices. Beth and Penny have recently lost their father and they have conflicting opinions, opinions of his life and his death. The two sisters explore permission to grieve, and battle between coping with grief in different ways.
As such, this play gives an insight into the role of death, and explores some of the barriers we face as a society and how we deal with sensitive issues.
Please note: These tickets will be held on the door for you to collect on the night and will not be posted out.
